A Brand is More than a Logo

Why do you need a brand, and not just a logo?

“Brand is your strategy…
Brand is your calls to action….
Brand is your customer service….
Brand is the way you speak…
Brand is the whole array of your communication tools…
Brand is your people…
Brand is your facilities…
Brand is your logo and visuals, too.”

Taken from Dan Pallotta’s article “A Logo Is Not a Brand” in Harvard Business Review.

Put simply, your brand and branding is all about how your company or business is perceived by your customers. A logo is just a small part of your brand, not your brand itself, and serves as an identifier of your company/brand. Once we dive more into the logo design process, we’ll get more into what a logo and its purpose is.
