About Me

Kris Avilla

Founder of ARTLABkma

I decided to start this blog for my creative practice to document my art journey, in illustration, design, and branding as I’m building up my side hustle into more. Here, I’ll be sharing my artist journey, and process as a designer venturing into the world of illustration creative entrepreneurship.  This is a corner of the internet for creatives by a creative, and a resource I wish I had when I was starting out—enjoy!

Day 19/100 #the100DayProject: The Dunes in Inglewood. Any #InsecureHBO fans? Late to the party, but oh well—love this show! Let me know in the comments below. Recently got into this show with wifey. Experimenting with black ink washes and value, to see how much I can create without color. Also, practicing drawing scenes and people for an upcoming project in the works.
Day 18/100 #the100DayProject: Didn’t mean to get quiet on here, but the past couple of work weeks got busier, and I didn't get much drawing in as I would've liked. Any other creatives fall in and out of the creative process or habit? Do you just go with it and slow down? Let me know in the comments! Here is a pasta drawing, based on a screenshot from a story post by @giadadelaurentiis. Will be playing catch up these next few posts.
Day 17/100 #the100DayProject: There's always room for dessert. #Stillherestilllife week 46. 📸: @emmaboynsphotos
